End-of-life questions pose a different dilemma for the family. Many times, families are faced with discussions regarding whether to stop treatment and allow the patient to die natural death. Family members or patients may not understand that there are limits to how long and how well medical technology cans sustain life. For example, most people do not realize how unlikely a person in to survive cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR). More importantly, family members may not be certain of what the patient would have wanted should she/he have been able to make the decision.
