• Ensure that the daily CPP schedule contributes to an accurate, cost effective and timely overall delivery plan, to ensure that the right product and volume is delivered from the right source to the right destination at the right time by the right truck
• Ensure data quality, i.e. full and correct submission of VMI data from source into CROSS by using the current tools (CPP Tuning Kit, VMI-FE, Layout 5)
• Ensure VMI orders are generated properly, minimise Left on Boards and stock outs
• Optimise scheduling operations by collecting performance data, analysing and translating into recommendations for improvements
• Primary contact point for the hauliers to advise truck drivers of necessary amendments to plan
• Handle customer enquiries to change/amend orders, evaluate the real need and feasibility for scheduling changes, and liaise with scheduling team where appropriate
• Ensure any Special Instructions noted on the orders have been processed
• Receive urgent order requests and create urgent orders within framework of delivery promise
• Provide feedback of changes to planned shipments to schedulers and scheduling admin team, particularly to VMI customers
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints
• Ensure documentation and filing is accurate, up to date and accessible•
• Correctly apply the general rules for processing exceptions
• Assess/handle unplanned issues arising from delivery/system constraints

• Maximise the integration between pre-planning and scheduling activities, reducing the complexity of CROSS schedulers job
• Ensure that any late changes to the original schedule are fed back into CPP and appropriate action taken.
• Balance stress, conflicting priorities and time pressures against the need to product an effective and viable CPP order set to the scheduler
