Due to the lack of investigations in food souvenir regarding its important attributes in the previous literature, it seems insufficient to capture and delineate the critical phenomena. In other
words, what attributes are important for food souvenirs is underinvestigated. Thus, the current study attempts to generalize the attributes of souvenirs in previous studies as the initial framework for the current research. Table 1 shows the general attributes of souvenirs. Among these attributes, sensuous appraisal, utility appraisal, and symbolic appraisal have been the most frequently examined. Furthermore, we attempt to provide more detailed
discussion of these three dimensions and their associations with
food souvenirs (see Table 2).
