According to Bateman [9], and Ismail & Ng [10], a certain
organic substance containing nitrogen atoms promotes the
curing process of olefinic rubber, comprising sulphur and
primary accelerators, through the formation of complexes
which are responsible for the fission of the sulphur molecules
to form crosslinks between the linear rubber chains. It
is expected that the amine-content of the ALK would
accelerate the cure and is responsible for enhancing the
cure rate and the cure state of the silica-filled NR
compound.
