The concept of attitude has been defined as ‘‘a psychological tendency that is
expressed by e¨aluating a particular entity with some degree of fa¨or or disfa¨or’’ Eagly
and Chaiken, 1996.. The core of an attitude is a ©aluation, which assigns to the entity
an affecti©e ©alue that can range from extremely positi¨e to extremely negati¨e.1
