Strain CC-SPL15-2T was isolated from the rhizosphere of
Sesuvium portulacastrum (sea purslane) in Budai, Chiayi
County, Taiwan, on nutrient agar (Oxoid) at 28 uC. The
isolate was maintained on tryptone soy agar at 28 uC. Gram
staining and cell morphology were observed by phasecontrast
microscopy, as described by Ka¨mpfer &
Kroppenstedt (2004). Gram staining was also examined
by the KOH test (Moaledj, 1986)
