The computer simulation of the stress–strain behav- ior by using a non-linear curve fitting software ‘Peakfit’ was carried out with seven variables cited in Section 1. In Eq. (7) the parameter a, the shear modulus m and the Burgers vector b are 0.4 (given for high temperature creep of an AlMg alloy [13]), 21.7 GPa (estimated from the temperature dependence of Young’s modulus E for Al [14] and the Poisson’ s ratio n of 0.33 by using an equation m=E/[2(1+n)]) and 0.2893 nm (estimated from the lattice parameter of 0.4050 nm for Al at 293 K and the linear expansion coefficient of 23.5×10−6 K−1), respectively.
