Despite the potential of NO bands for analytical purposes, little
attention has been given to the development of methods for N determination
by flame AAS. Furthermore, the use of HR-CS AAS for determination
of N, P, and K has not been described in the literature.
This study reports an evaluation of the use of molecular lines of NO
and PO, and alternative lines of K, to achieve a simple and fast method
for assessment of the NPK rating of fertilizers by HR-CS FAAS.
