Lost property
The average person in Britain spends a year of their life looking for lost items. Monday is the most common day to lose things. In today’s fast-moving society, we have more and more things to lose, more and more places to lose them. Research at the University of Central Lancashire shows what men and women do when they lose things. One in five women cry, and more than a quarter of men swear.
Some women become violent. The objects that people are least likely to lost are their car, passport or laptop computer. 95 to 100% of people say they have never lost any of these items. Of the things people wanted to lose, nearly half said ‘boring friends.’
