Then, a formal model of our agent-based user knowledge management which composed of an interaction agent and a coginitive agent is proposed and the building and updating our user knowledge bases is discussed in detail to show that the model is practicable.
The paper is organized as follows. Section II presents an overview of our agent-based user knowledge management architecture. Section III and IV discuss the functions of the interaction agent and the cognitive agent, then give their formalisms respectively. Section V gives the formal model of agent-based user knowledge management. The last section concludes the paper with conclusion and future works.
II. USER KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT ARCHITECTURE
In this section, we propose the architecture of agent-based user knowledge management in intelligent system as showed in figure 1. The system consists of four parts: an interaction agent, a cognitive agent, a user knowledge base and a user interface.
The interaction agent not only interacts with new users and gets their personal information for identification, but records interaction information of a user with intelligent tutoring systems. The cognitive agent is responsible for recording cognitive information concerning a user which is vital for the system’s user-adapted operation. They work together to construct user knowledge bases.
