Moral

Veronica Roth made it clear to the readers for what moral the books that she wrote should convey. In both "Divergent" and "Insurgent" Veronica Roth made all the characters broken up into five different factions. This was supposed to make people progress, and form into a utopian society, but the society didn't function properly and resulted as a dystopian society instead of a utopian society. Soon the factions began fighting each other because each of the factions valued different characteristics. The moral that Veronica Roth was attempting to convey was that people should be more accepting of others. Whether if it's religion, characteristics, or appearance.
This is also seen in real life. If people were more accepting of other people's ideas, there wouldn't be as much conflict. For example If Hitler tolerated Jewish people then the Holocaust wouldn't have happened and millions of lives would have been saved. The moral that was conveyed by Veronica Roth in her books was to be more accepting of other people.
