FINDINGS
ULTRASONOGRAM OF THE WHOLE ABDOMEN
A 50-year-old man came with jaundice and elevated liver enzymes.
There is rather limitation of the examination due to truncal obesity and large amount of bowel gas.
As seen the liver is of small size with slightly increased parenchymal echogenicity.
There is no definite evidence of space occupying lesion or dilatation of the bile ducts.
The gallbladder is of normal size with thin wall and no detectable gallstone.
the pancreas is not well demonstrated and thought to be no mass at pancreatic region.
me spleen and both kidneys appear normal.
The urinary bladder and prostate gland appears unremarkable.
There is evidence of moderate ascites.
There is no detectable definite evidence of enlarged lymph node.
IMPRESSIONTHE findings are suggestive of possible cirrhosis of the liver with moderate ascites.
