In conclusion, the diterpenes ICB4 and ICB8, isolated from C.blanchetianus, have antibiofilm action which was detected in theinhibition of the biofilm formation and on pre-formed biofilms of S.mutans and S. parasanguinis. The results obtained in this study suggestthat ICB4 and ICB8 have potential to be used as therapeutic agentagainst infections caused by oral Streptococci.
