Althoughh the literature clearly point to the importance of support in such groups (Akos et al., 2004; Paisley & Milsom, 2007; Steen et al., 2008), it is not clear that studies have actually investigated the type of support presented in such groups. Moreover, There has been little research on the evolution of supportive behavior during the group process or on the relationship between them and the therapist. Thus, the current study addresses the following questions:
1. What type of support is manifested in trainees' counseling groups?
2. How does support behavior evolve through the group process?
3. What is the association between given and received support among group members and between members and therapist?
