During secondary screening, the evaluation of the lipid-accumulating ability and fatty acid composition of yeast strains which showed a lipid accumulation of more than 0.8 g/L in the primary screening was performed. In this experiment, SS2 medium was employed. The control strains used were L. starkeyi NBRC 10381 and R. toruloides NBRC 0559, which are known as typical oleaginous yeasts.
