ANSWERS TO MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
• Will we have to apply for our jobs and be interviewed or will we just transition to the new company? GWS employees will transition to CBRE and will not be required to reapply for their positions.
• Will we be subject to background checks and/or drug tests as new employees? Existing GWS employees will not be subject to additional background checks or drug testing.
• How will hourly wages be affected? Will they be evaluated and should we expect a wage cut or a pay freeze? Wages and salaries will not be affected by the merger.
• Will our service time with JCI be grandfathered into CBRE? CBRE will recognize GWS employee service time with JCI, including vesting/eligibility for vacation/PTO time, etc
• Will CBRE recognize previous service time with their company for those who worked for CBRE before? CBRE will not recognize prior CBRE service time for any GWS employee who previously worked for CBRE.
• What is CBRE’s position concerning union employees? CBRE has union employees and values their contributions.
