B. In your jurisdiction, which documents should a natural person provide to prove that he is empowered to represent a legal person? Do you have an official document listing the representative of a company?
ANS: The documents which a natural person should provide to prove that he is empowered to represent a legal person is divided into two categories;
1. If a natural person is an authorized director of a legal person, the document to prove that he is empowered to represent a legal person is the certified copy of company affidavit not over 30 days.
2. If a natural person is not an authorized director of a legal person, the document to prove that he is empowered to represent a legal person are (1) Power of Attorney from authorized director(s) of a legal person (affixed duty stamp of THB 10 or THB 30) (2) the certified copy of the Company Affidavits (not over 30 days from issuance date) (3) the copy of the identification card of authorized signatories’ director (s) (4) the copy of the identification card of a natural person who will represent a legal person.
However, in Thai jurisdiction do not have an official document listing the representative of a company.
