Conical clutches (Pos.1 of Fig.2) on DCF can move on the apposite slides (Pos.2 of Fig.2), to
allow the placement and the removal of the felt roll.
The clutch clamping is operated with a wheel (Pos.3 of Fig.2) placed at front side; this wheel
must guarantee the position and then be locked.
To do it a braking lever has been foreseen (Pos.4 of Fig.2); this lever has to be inserted when
the correct position of the clutch is reached. There is also a pin to guarantee the clamping, the
pin must be inserted. Do not continue if the pin is not inserted.
The feltwinder roll (Pos.6 di Fig.2) is always clutched. The regulation of the clutch is the same
as other roll. Different length feltwinder rolls have been supplied in order to use the device with
various felt lengths.
2) Bring DCF in working position, that is on the special cut platform that is present on each section.
In the higher part of the hood there is a special window, in which the DCF can pass. The
movement of the DCF is operated with the bridge crane. DCF must be lifted by the bridge crane
with ropes. On DCF there are apposite attacks for them (Pos.5 of Fig.2).
The correct position on cut platform (fig.3) is guaranteed by a special counterpart that is present
on the platform.
3) Supply with compressed air by linking it to the distribution line through the plugs that are installed
near the platform.
4) Activate the pistons (as the one in Pos.1 of Fig.4) that keep the push boats in work position (see
Pos.2 of Fig.4) and necessary to hold the felt in position.
The two push boats are assembled at the sides of DCF and there are 3 piston to move them
