As with Ashkanasy’s model and AET specific affective events are at the center of the model. These events are “objective”
in the sense that one would expect consensus among participants or observers regarding the occurrence of the event.
In addition to being one-time salient occurrences (e.g., receiving a promotion), these events can also represent stable conditions
that, for whatever reason, become salient to an individual at some point (e.g., having a considerate supervisor).
