As
shown in Fig. 3B, the fruit respiration was inhibited by
ethephon+1-MCP
and 1-MCP treatment, but recovered by the
ethephon
treatment on the 14th day. In the control fruit, there were
two respiration peaks, one on the 12th day, before the
ethephon
treatment and the other one on the 18th day. Ethephon
+1-MCP
and 1-MCP treatment inhibited the respiration and
ethylene
before ethephon treatment on the 14th day. The ethephon
treatment
on the 14th day recovered the respiration, and the
respiration
peak appeared on the 18th and 20th days in ethephon
+1-MCP
and 1-MCP treatment, respectively.
