I'm multi-fandom. I'm technically an EXO-L, but I don't really follow the group that much, so I choose to throw away that title. I really learned about their comeback when I saw an article on how they broke BIGBANG's record on album sales. I'm mostly a VIP, ELF, and Bestfriend( I'm also a whole bunch of other stuff). And yes there's a difference, but I don't really notice that difference, which, speaking from the viewpoint of SM is exactly what the objective was. Yes, I miss Kris and Luhan (and Tao, though I still haven't heard anything on his part about his absence from EXO), but they chose to leave the group, and for a damn good reason too. Do you honestly think that they still want to be thought of as members of EXO after they sued their former management company and pursued acting and singing careers without the name EXO attached to it? Well, SM doesn't. The fact that they left is part of the album's success. Everyone was curious about how EXO would be without two (or three) of their original members, so they bought the album, watched the MV, watched live performances, and, in this case watched the MR removed version of those performances.
