Measurement and Analysis
Objective and subjective measurements captured the outcomes
of the manipulations described above. Objective measurements
included information recall, the percentage of correct
answers on the post-experiment quiz, and learning, the normalized
percentage difference in scores between the number
of correct answers on the initial and final quizzes. Participant
EEG measurements were analyzed to complete a preliminary
evaluation regarding the assumptions underlying our design.
Subjective measurements used seven-point rating items to measure
participant responses on a post-experiment questionnaire,
which asked participants to rate the perceived competency of
instruction, the usefulness of the review, their perceived learning,
and whether participants would like to use the system
again in the future.
