So far Google is financially sound. In 2005, Google owed no money, had profits of 1.5 billion on sales of 6.1 billion while holding 2.5 billion in cash-numbers that suggest that Google can expand without taking on debt. Larry Page and Brin are no doubt brilliant and innovative, but the odds say they will eventually make mistakes, and other bright people may figure out a way to cut into their search engine business.
