iPhone OS 2.0, code-named Big Bear, was previewed in April of 2008 and released on July 11, 2009. Tentpole features included Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync and other enterprise feature support, integration with MobileMe - since replaced with iCloud - and most importantly, the App Store . iOS 2.1, code-named Sugarbowl, shipped on September 9, 2008 for the iPod touch, and September 12, 2008 for the iPhone. iPhone OS 2.2, code-named Timberline, shipped on November 21, 2008. The final version, iPhone OS 2.2.1 shipped on January 27, 2009.
