More than 90 per cent of the users are aware of the YouTube services of Google, Inc. (Figure 13), but it is interesting to know that only 35.26 per cent of students, 51.11 per cent of faculty and 32.50 per cent of staff have ever used the National Program on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) services available through YouTube. Alumni are far behind in use and awareness of NPTEL services, and only 6.12 per cent are aware of it (Figure 14). In addition, 40.34 per cent people are aware of virtual online bookshelf services (Shelfari, Library Things; see www.librarything.com), of which 25 per cent think that these services are helpful in choosing the right books for their interests.
