Overview of the study. In summary, the present study was designed to conduct the following:
1. Examine Indonesia students’ perceptions about the level of importance, usefulness, and interest in CE (or PKn) as a school subject.
2. Investigate the profile of Indonesia students on three important citizenship-related attributes (i.e.,conceptions of a good citizen, civic behavioural intention, and political enquiry)
3. Predict the attainment of the three citizenship-related attributes using task and basic values, future goals, and perceived instrumentality of schooling (see Figure 7.1) Particularly, we also sought to draw the implications of our research findings for CE pedagogy and curriculum.
