Based on the results of this study, phylogenetic tree topology is influenced by the method, characters,
and data used, even when the same organisms are examined (Figs. 1–5). Furthermore, removal or addition of
samples sometimes causes basic changes to phylogenetic trees because of the inherent nature of the
mathematical algorithms employed. Because it is impossible to construct a universally representative
phylogenetic tree using our present knowledge, one must remember that phylogenetic trees are changeable
based on various conditions.
