In this study, the critical values of the MAD test statistics were provided using simulation experiments with extension of the shape parameter, and a power study was performed to compare the efficiency of the goodness-of-fit tests. Unlike traditional goodness-of-fit tests, the MAD test suggested by Ahmad et al. (1988b) gives more weight to the upper or lower tail and is an attractive and powerful means of assessing goodness-of-fit t for probability distributions.
