Hi guys! I decided to write this guide to help both newer and older players to build their knights exactly as I did. Since it worked very well for me, I don't see why it would not do the same for you. :P
[Note: Skills are in order of importance!]
*1st GRADE SKILLS* - Being the most important ones, these skills should be maxed ASAP. They can make the difference between a strong and a weak knight.
-PASSIVE SKILLS-
-STRENGTH - 10/10 - Increases your damage by 20%. Damage is very important, and you must increase it as much as possible. Great passive to begin with.
-STAMINA - 10/10 - Increases your max health by 50%. HP is very important as well, because it helps you survive longer and not be O.H.K.O'ed by stronger enemies.
-ARMOR - 10/10 - Increases your armor by 100%. Some people say this one is useless, but Armor remains one of the best defensive skills. It will reduce the damage taken and will increase your chance to survive.
-REGENERATION - 10/10 - Regenerate 2% of your base health per second. Although it doesn't seem, this passive will prevent your life to drop too fast, so that your chances to survive will increase even longer.
-FOCUS - 10/10 - Critical Chance increased by 20% (*)
-EXPLOIT - 10/10 - Critical Damage increased by 50% (*)
(*) Great "twin-type" passives! Critical Chance and Critical Damage are probably the best bonuses out there. These two maxed will increase your damage significantly. The more you have, the better it is!
-ACTIVE SKILLS-
-CLEAVE - 10/10 - It's a 360 range skill that deals 185% from your damage. Because it has very low cooldown (only 2 seconds without Cooldown Reduction), you can spam it and deal tons of damage to all nearby enemies. This is definitely one of the Knight's best abilities!
-MAIM - 10/10 - The Knight's most brutal attack, it deals 310% from your damage and also has a 75% chance to knockdown an enemy. Enough to smash the strongest mobs, like bosses or mini-bosses!
-HURL - 10/10 - Ranged attack that deals 159% damage to all enemies in the projectile's path and bounces off additional enemies. People choose it due to its faster cooldown (4 seconds), while dealing monster damage to all mobs. You can use it to drag enemies or to destroy any breakables from the distance as well.
-CHARGE - 10/10 - Rushing attack, low cooldown (4 seconds), deals 200% damage to everyone. It's useful when farming Gold/XP, because you can go through the maps quickly. It can help you to escape from dangerous situations, and it proves to be quite useful to steal kills in the Arena.
-RUMBLE - 10/10 - It's a great AoE skill especially because it stuns enemies for 3 seconds. Its damage (114%) is just a bonus. You can also use this ability to counter a knockdown - once you're down, simply use Rumble and will cancel the knockdown effect. 1 point is enough to get the stun chance, so I suggest you to max it later on.
-ANGELIC FORM - 10/10 - This is a must-have ability when running events or harder maps. It helps a lot when you are in extreme situations (fighting powerful bosses, tons of mobs, etc.) because, for a short time (7 secs), you are immune to any status effects. It also heals a percentage of your weapon damage (300%) on basic attack.
-DUAL WIELD - 10/10 - Well, this skill is BLESSING! It allows you to wear another sword instead of shield and increases attack damage by a percentage of your offhand weapon. Once you are above level 100, you should go for it. Take care that it's a skill for advanced players! Note: At the moment, this skill is a bit outdated - 25% bonus damage means around 100 more damage, which is nothing nowadays. You only need 1 point to be able to equip another sword, so I'd rather recommend you to put the other 9 points elsewhere (such as Protector).
~HOW TO DO IT ?~
You will start by maxing Strength, Stamina, Armor, Regeneration while spending just 1 point in Cleave, Maim, Rumble, and Hurl/Charge (one of these two). Max Focus and Exploit, then Cleave, then Angelic Form. The next one is Maim, followed by Hurl/Charge. Keep 1 point in Rumble and Dual Wield. (Read bellow)
~SHIELD OR DUAL WIELD?~
Well, that's a good question! While some people are for shield and others for Dual Wield, I'll tell you that both are good, but in different ways. Shield is for defense, swords are for damage - anyone knows it. But as a newbie knight, you don't really know how to play efficiently to survive against powerful mobs with less defense. Then each defensive skill or item helps. Once you are leveling up and gaining more and more experience about the game, the shield will become slowly useless. Along the time, you will definitely learn how to survive better. I suggest you to keep your shield until then, when you feel you are ready. Then go for Dual Wield. Worth it? WORTH IT!
Just don't run for damage at low levels (unless you are considering yourself to be a pro player from start). Otherwise, you will cry like many others when you will need to play, for example, an event map. Now please don't get me wrong - damage is good, but sacrificing your defense for damage when you need defense it's just not a smart decision.
"So, when am I ready?" Generally, after you maxed 1st Grade Skills.
*2nd GRADE SKILLS* - These skills should be maxed after 1st Grade Skills. Each one has its importance, even they are not as important as 1st Grade Skills. I mean you could survive without them too, but it's worth to max them.
-ACTIVE SKILLS-
-PROTECTOR - 10/10 - For 10 seconds all damage is reduced by 60% and you take all the damage that your nearby party members would normally receive. Well, this skill is Angelic Form's little brother. The cool thing about this skill is that it reduces the damage from special attacks! Even if you are playing solo, this skill will help you to survive longer without being O.H.K.O by stronger enemies. Max this immediately after the 1st Grade Skills.
-PASSIVE SKILLS-
-HASTE - 10/10 - It's an offensive skill, which increases the rate of basic attacks by 20%. Since you already got enough defensive skills, this one could be the next choose. It would help you to kill stronger enemies faster.
-AGILITY - 10/10 - Increases movement speed by 25%. This one will help you to go through the maps faster, and that means you will farm XP/Gold faster. Speed can help you in battle as well, so don't hesitate to max this.
-DEFEND, DODGE, PARRY - 10/10 - A great addition to the Knight's arsenal of defensive skills, these three skills will help you survive (even) longer. Parry grants 20% chance to avoid a melee attack, while Dodge grants 25% chance to avoid a ranged attack. Defend grants 25% chance to avoid 50% of your incoming damage, being the strongest of the three and the first one who needs to be maxed.
-CELERITY - 10/10 - Lowers cooldown rate on your skills by 15%. Skills like Angelic Form or Cleave need this one.
-LIFESTEAL - 10/10 - Another skill which helps you to survive - well, almost... It heals for 30% of your weapon damage on basic attack, which means that you will need some really good weapons to get this work efficiently. It's not as useful as Regeneration (especially after being nerfed) since the most of the time you will use skills, not basic attacks.
-MANA DRAIN - 10/10 - Restores 5 mana per hit. (*)
-SPIRIT - 10/10 - Regenerate 1 mana per sec. (*)
(*) These two skills should fix your problem with the lack of mana in battle, so that you won't need to worry about Intelligence.
~BONUSES~
-> The key is to increase your damage as much as you can, because you must kill the enemies quickly. First focus on having 100% Critical Chance, then try to get as much as Damage and Critical Damage you can. You will need:
CRITICAL CHANCE, CRITICAL DAMAGE, DAMAGE
-> Secondly, you could focus on:
ATTACK/MOVEMENT SPEED, ARMOR/HEALTH, DEFEND, HEALTH/MANA REGENERATION
