This model supports the idea of ICT as a cultural, mediational tool to construct meaning within an activity
system. The main problem is that teachers need certain expertise in using the Google Earth program, in addition to
his/her approach to teaching learning (sociocultural theories), but there is not much literature on under what
conditions, and on what ways, ICT tools can be useful. One way knowing is to have no prior expertise, but instead
to learn together with students.
