When I wrote papers earlier in the semester, I would continuously keep looking down at the word count. I would painfully write until I got to the number of words I had to be at, and then I would quickly end the essay. This is why my closing paragraphs were always so poor. I just wanted to complete the assignments. Then in class, you explained to us that writing becomes easier if you get lost in your paper. So that’s what I did. When I wrote essay #2, I picked a person that I was passionate about and got to writing. I found that picking a subject that I was interested in allowed me to get into the paper, rather than constantly looking at the word count. This strategy helped me write papers better than I ever thought I could.
