Such treatment responses during gestation are in agreement with those
reported by Simard et al. (2007), who observed the lowest pHcy and the greatest plasma concentration of B12
at dietary concentrations of cyanocobalamin of 93 and
164 µg/kg, respectively. During lactation, a lack of treatment effect on pHcy was also reported by Simard et al.
(2007) in spite of residual effects of supplementations
of cyanocobalamin during gestation on plasma and
liver concentrations of B12 at weaning.
