In Japanese pear fruit, the fluctuation pattern of NADSDH
activity with fruit development was similar to that
in apple fruit (Yamaki and Moriguchi, 1989). The
fluctuation pattern of pear fruit corresponded to that of
the mRNA level, that is, it was controlled by
transcriptional regulation (Yamada et al., 2006). Ito et al.
(2002) examined activities of NAD-SDH and NADPSDH
on bud growth; NAD-SDH activity clearly
