In Table 4, a comparison of the changes in internalized stigmatization
pre- and post-test scores between the intervention and control
groups (N = 47) is shown. Internalized stigmatization subscales
scores of alienation, approval of stereotypes, social withdrawal and
total internalized stigmatization were significantly reduced at
the b .001 level for the intervention group. Perceived discrimination
was significantly reduced at the b .05 level for the control group
and b .001 for the intervention group.
