Bending wood - Seems like a bit of an oxymoron doesn't it? I spotted Kino Guérin's work at the One Of A Kind Show in Toronto last fall and couldn't stop starring his sculptures. A rigid object that's full of movement.
The pieces look effortless but the process is quite complex. Breaking the laws of science? YA - I can see that being a challenge.

Kino Guérin is from Quebec and has won numerous awards for his unique take on furniture making including the highly coveted Prix Francois Houdé Award. Receiving several grants from both the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec and the Canada Council for the Arts, his work has been featured numerous publications, including 500 Tables and Elemente Magazine.
