In the area of intercultural communication, previous studies demonstrate different communicative styles between Easterners and Westerners. Hall (1976, 1990, 2000) introduces the terms "low-context" and “high-context" communication. The first describes the communicative culture in the US, Canada, German, Scandinavia, Australia and New Zealand, the latter mainly describes the communicative culture in Asian and Arab countries.
