This trip was a follow-up-trip on the open Projects in 2012 for TGI where the DSG should be placed into the Laboratory.
The meeting did consist of a review of the existing equipment performance as well as the DSG plan.
The visit was a refresher on the DSG / OmniLab while highlighting the new installations as well as the additional installed features such as the Thickness 360.
In the meantime Thai Glass is working on the Expansion in Bangphlee as well as the to shut-down of the Rajburana plant because of the environmental pollution and space constraint.
Since they are operating some older FCMS and HECMS and would need additional units these units should be purchased in a very short time-frame where the DSG is a 2015 project. On the DSG there is heavy competition from Emhart since they would like to place the first measurement machine into Thailand and report that rather than Agr being the first supplier. We may have to get creative there in order to win the sale over Emhart.
During the meeting with Thai Glass, Khun Martin outlined to the customer the reliability and quality of AGR's machines, including the fact that we now have nearly 24 hour contact potential with our staff around the world since Emhart did site that as Agr shortfall.
This did not really work out and with the fact that the Agr office is only 25km away from their plant Emhart is unable to match that being that their Asian office is in Malaysia.
Khun Martin suggested to the customer that a visit Agr HQ would be the best way to get a first-hand demonstration of AGR's DSG in order to see the advantage over Emhart..
Our presentation was well received by the customer. Thai glass is in the middle of re-organizing their operations which could mean a re-tooling of the production lines.
