The Thai society has been gripped by bickering and so far no one can see light at the other end of the tunnel. The positive side about this political event is the display of political involvement of the “third voice” or the “silent majority.” A number of organized movements had come out to express their political stand such those who voiced their opposition to the present protests or those who came out to state their position that they wanted the election to proceed. They also made clear that they would not approve of power seizure by the military, or to resort to violence, etc. In a sense this could be construed as signs of political development of the Thai people. Indeed, one may say that whatever the consequences resulted from the political events this time, positive aspects can be registered.
