You must have heard of many ghost stories, but have you heard of this one from Japan ? The story goes like this; one moonlit night, a man was walking home along the river when he saw a woman crying on the bridge. He could not see her face because she was sitting with her back to him. However, he could see that she was crying so hysterically that her whole body was shaking. The man felt ___sorry___ for her. when he went ___up/forward___ to comfort her, she suddenly ___turned___ around. To his horror, the man I ___saw___ that she had no eyes, no nose and no mouth ___on___ her face ! ___For___ a while the man stood frozen. Then he turned and ran away as fast as he could until he ___came___ to the nearest inn.
Once ___inside___, he began to stammer out what he had seen, for he was trembling ___with___ fear. The proprietor of the inn, who had been bending ___down___ to clean the tables, straightened ___up___ and asked him, "Did she look ___like___ this ?" His face, too, was egg-like.
The man fainted !
