Total RNA was purified
from each meat species (pork, chicken, goat, beef and ostrich).
The purity of the RNA extract was measured, showing an
A260/A280 ratio ranging from 1.79 to 2.11 and an A260/A230 ratio
ranging from 1.95 to 2.76. The concentration of total RNA ranged
from 462 to 1422 ng/lL.
