The mass balance model for the supercritical CFB boiler has been developed
and used to predict the CFB combustion system behavior. The
mass balancemodel allows us to take into account a number of parameters
which affect the processes inside the CFB combustor. In the mass
balance model particle attrition, fragmentation and combustion process
were considered. The simulation model of the mass balance was integrated
into a comprehensive model of a 966MWth supercritical CFB
boiler. The simulation model is a good toolwhich gives some possibility
of monitoring the particle size distribution during operation conditions
of CFB combustion system in a large scale. The simulation results of
solids mass flow are in accordance with the measured data.
