Taste evaluation includes
Sweet-tastes like sugar.
Salty-tastes like salt.
Sour-has a sharp, acid taste like lemon juice or vinegar.
Bitter-has a sharp, unpleasant or irritating taste.
Smell evaluation includes:
Aroma while in mouth.
Aroma after swallowing.
Feeling evaluation includes:
Cool-like a peppermint.
Heat-like a jalapeno pepper.
Mouth-drying or astringent, or a puckering sensation like from a string from inside banana peel placed across the tongue.
NOTE This will be demonstrated at the end of the presentation because of carry-over from the peppermint.
