STAGE 2 – SELECTION OF TRAINERS
Introduction
During the course of Stage 1, SQ Centre will be paying attention to the performance of the potential trainers. At the end of the training programme, SQ Centre’s trainer will recommend suitable candidates to conduct SQ Programmes. The final selection of the trainers will be tabled and discussed between CP ALL and SQ Centre.
Objectives
The objective of the Trainer Selection stage is to observe the potential trainers in the following areas during their Participant’s Run (Stage 1).
Characteristics and skills
Their mindset in service quality.
Whether they are a team player.
Strong interpersonal skills and taking an active interest in people.
Expressive and animated in speech
Speak articulately.
Enjoy the outdoors and are physically healthy
Think quickly on their feet.
Understand challenges faced by front-line/support staff.
Training related competencies
Good Facilitation Skills
Ability to express points in a clear and concise manner.
Ability to give clear and constructive feedback.
Ability to summarise and add value when asked.
Display good listening skills.
Respond positively to feedback.
Show interest in helping front-liners to learn.
Sensitive to the needs of the front-liners.
Can relate well to front-liners.
Cognitive Skills
Display clear and logical flow of thought.
Ability to develop application from learnt theories.
