CORRELATIONS BETWEEN STUDY VARIABLES
Table 3 reports correlations between the mean
subscale scores on the KDQOL and the dimensions
of HRQOL. Patients perceived cognitive functioning
as the best aspect of their quality of life (score: 82.9),and burden of kidney disease as the most negative
aspect (score: 34.4) The comparison between the SF-36
HRQOL dimensions and the KDQOL dimensions
identified many significant correlations.
Table 4 shows the relationships between the
HRQOL dimensions in patients and in caregivers.
Caregiver and patient role emotional functioning (RE)
were significantly correlated, as were vitality and
perception of bodily pain.
