MRI WHOLE SPINE
HISTORY : A 35- year-old man with clinical of SCS.
TECHNIQUE : Sagittal T1W, T2W, STIR; Coronal T1W ; Axial T1W, GRE T2W; MR myelogram heavily T2W ;
FINDINGS :
The study reveals straightening vertebral alignment without fracture and spondylolisthesis.
Cervical and lumbar spondylosis are noted, details as described follow;
At C4-5 to C6-7 levels, there are mild discs protrusion with mild facetal/ uncovertebral spurs result mild central canals stenosis without nerve root compression.
At C7-T1 to L3-4; no significant disc herniation is seen.
At L4-5, there is moderate central / right paracentral disc extrusion facetal hypertrophy causing moderate central canal stenosis with right L5 traversing root compression.
At L5-S1; there is mild to moderate central posterior disc protrusion with mild facetal hypertrophy causing mild to moderate central canal stenosis without nerve root compression.
Conus medullaris ends at L2 level
No abnormal cord signal or myelopathy is seen.
Prevertebral/ paravertebral soft tissue , both SI joints and vertebral marrow signal appear unremarkable..
CONCLUSION :
Straightening vertebral alignment
Cervical and lumbar spondylosis as described, result mild to moderate central canals stenosis( most severely at L4-5 level) with right L5 traversing roots compression.
No myelopathy is seen.
