The digestion performance of cow dung wasinvestigated based on the results obtained from the processmonitoring for: VS reduction, TS reduction, VS/TS ratio,COD reduction, NH3-N concentration, pH and biogasproduction with its methane content. Although, variations
in reactor performance were observed in the early periodof digestion, the observed pH of 6.65-7.81 were primarilywithin the acceptable range for anaerobic digestion for theentire operations. This implies average buffering capacityof the mixed substrate. Generally, degradation of
substrates starts between day one to day three before itcommences the production of biogas in the batchoperation.
