High spatial resolution satellite images can detect small and temporary water bodies and vegetation as suitable places for
mosquito rearing and resting. Although spatial resolution of IRS image (each pixel = 24 m2) cannot cover the small bodies of surface water (as the potential breeding places), because the sandy soil texture of the area and high radiation, almost all breeding places are located in riverbeds and riverbanks. We covered the potential breeding places by considering the main and seasonal rivers in hazard calculation.
