Outcome measures. Yammarino et al. (1998) described various levels of analysis
in studies of leadership efficacy. In our study, two levels of analysis were
available: individual and group. At the individual level of analysis, two affective
measures were collected: job satisfaction and supervisor satisfaction, as
operationalized by Hackman and Oldham (1974). Both of these measures also were
available at the group level of analysis.
