Attached to this e-mail, you find two online reservations for the upcoming Christmas. I made a reservation for 2 rooms at your resort from 23 to 27 December 2016. We had planned a family holiday at your resort (with my son, my husband and my parents-in-law).
We learned in the past few days that my mother-in-law suffers from a severe and acute illness. She may not live much longer. We therefore have to cancel our entire Thailand plans. For this reason, I regret to inform you that we cannot stay at your resort over the holidays. This was unforeseeable for us and we are devastated by the news.
Your resort was warmly recommended to us by a friend, and we really looked forward to staying with you. We regret very much that it will not be possible this year. We sincerely hope that we will be able to visit your resort another time in the near future.
I know that you have a “no cancellation”-policy for the High Peak Season. However, it is still more than 6 weeks until Christmas. Should you see any possibility not to charge us for the (full) reservation, we would appreciate it very much.
