Recognizing the problem of MTBI and the triad of as- sociated disorders is the first step albeit a difficult one. Conceptualizing the problem using a biopsychosocial ap- proach provides the clinician with relevant domains for assessment and screening.19 There is no specific tool to screen for violence-related TBI in women nor is there a comprehensive assessment that includes the triad of sequelae (PCS, depression, and PTSD/acute stress disor- der).
